Carpet Grandules
N.O.G.C. Carpet Granules the best volcanic rock odor control on the market.
For new, old or ongoing odor problems. 100% natural, environmentally safe and harmless to humans, pets and plants. N.O.G.C. Carpet Granules the best volcanic rock odor control on the market, eliminates odors instead of covering them up. Odors caused by smoke, pets, mildew, drains, cooking, paint, new carpets, etc.
New carpet can emit various noxious gasses (such as formaldehyde, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide) when first installed, that are hazardous to some.
Use on carpets, area rugs, bare wood or tile floors. Also use in: washing machines to deodorize clothes, diaper pails, garbage disposals and ashtrays.
For areas soiled by pet urine see Pet Odor Elimination Kit.
Directions:
- To freshen carpets apply Granule at a rate of 32 oz. for 300 sq. ft. and leave 24 - 48 hours then vacuum; leave no longer than 7 days. Repeat as necessary to keep carpet odor free.
- As a laundry aid use 1/4 cup of Granule per load to deodorize clothes from such things as gasoline, diesel fuel, pet odors, etc.
- For trash containers sprinkle a few tablespoons full of Granule in bottom of container at each bag replacement.
- Cut or chop onions-sprinkle a little Granule on cutting board, rub around and let stand 10-15 minutes, then rinse off. For hands put a little Granule on hands with soap and water and wash as usual.
TIPS: Granules work best on dry surfaces but will work on wet surfaces.
Caution: If wet always allow to dry before vacuuming.
Zeolite is a natural volcanic “rock”, a mineral produced over millions of years by nature as lava underwent alterations in alkaline waters and then crystallized. Our special blend is mined, dried, milled and packaged in our different forms. Zeolites vary in quality; most zeolites are used for agriculture and industry.Farms use zeolite to enrich poor soils. The most common industrial use for zeolite is by refineries in converting crude oil into gasoline and other fuels.
Where does N.O.G.C., Inc. zeolite come from?
Our zeolite comes from the mid western and south western United States. It is considered the highest grade. FDA approved is important. It is a bit more expensive than industrial grades of zeolite, we believe in providing the customer the best and longest lasting products possible.
Are there different kinds of zeolites?
Yes, more than 40 different types of zeolite are found in all, mined in various parts of the world. But not all types of Zeolite have the same adsorption properties; some are better than others. Agricultural and industrial zeolites are laden with many impurities such as clay and silt, which severely limits its odor adsorptive capabilities.
How long will N. O. G. C., Inc. zeolite rocks last?
It depends upon your usage and what odors you are picking up in the household packs. Our special blend zeolite rocks in our Household Packs will give you many years of use when directions are followed on square footage and when desorbed every few months by placing them outside in bright sun light.
Does getting zeolite rock in the Household Packs wet ruin it?
No. You use the Carpet Granules in the washing machine to deodorize clothes, diaper pails.
The Household Packs can be used in hot tubs and swimming pools. Zeolite has the ability to adsorb and desorb water, and gas molecules (odors) without any chemical or physical change in the zeolite itself. The material can encompass and control many times its weight in odors or moisture, and then can be recharged by exposure to sunlight, whereupon it releases its "captives" and is ready for further duty over a period of couple of years when the rock in Household Packs becomes less effective.
Didn't you misspell absorb as adsorb?
No. Absorption is a mechanical process—for example, a dry sponge responding to water by expanding and holding the water. Adsorption is the electrical process (ionic) of opposite electrical ions attracted to and clinging to each other. Zeolite has the ability to adsorb irritating airborne gases that attach to microscopic dust particles that exist as free air agents. By itself, Zeolite has virtually no fragrance of its own. It is odorless. Nothing is released into the atmosphere to cause irritation or allergic reactions. Therefore, Zeolite is THE preferred approach to controlling odors.

Natural Zeolites
Natural zeolites are formed from the alteration of volcanic ash. Their physical structure is arranged in an interconnecting lattice structure. This lattice structure is arranged to form a honeycomb framework of consistent diameter interconnecting channels.
The diameter of these open channels is what differentiates each species of natural zeolites and is what gives rise to their unique properties. Within these channels are positively-charged ions (cations) attached and held by the structure's negative charge. Natural zeolite can perform the following functions which in turn give rise to a multitude of end uses.
Ion Exchange
The ability to exchange internal cations for other cations on a basis of ion selectivity determined by ion and channel diameter.
Water Adsorption/Desorption
The ability to reversibly adsorb/desorb water without chemical or physical change in the zeolite structure.
Gas Adsorption
The ability to selectively adsorb specific gas molecules without any effect upon the zeolite structure
Zeolites Uses
You may have never heard of them, but your life would be easier and simpler with them.
Zeolites have all types of uses. Zeolites reduce the cost of gasoline, remove water from natural gas, purifies medical and industrial gases, it was even used to clean up the radiation from Chernobyl. This unique mineral has many uses in medicine, industrial applications, agriculture, aqua culture, solar heating and cooling, indoor air pollution and odor control.
Zeolites have a unique chemical structure that gives it a very large internal surface area and a natural negative electric charge. As with a negative ion generator it attracts positively charged particles, but unlike the ion generator, zeolite also traps them.
The natural zeolites business is in its infancy. The special zeolites represented by N.O.G.C., Inc. Is some of the highest quality deposits ever mined. It is unique and we have made it more so in the month of April 2005 with our special blend to include Premium 5A Chabazite.
N.O.G.C., Inc. zeolites does not swell in the presents of water of humidity, this makes it more efficient and practical for use in pollution and odor control.
N.O.G.C., Inc. special blend zeolite is sold in Carpet Granule, Critter Litter, Foot Powder, Pet Powder, Hunters Edge™, Household Packs and Refrigerator Packs. In rock form for air purification, waste water purification, odor adsorbtion, fire and flood restoration, aqua denitrafication, etc. N.O.G.C., Inc. zeolites are superior to all other natural zeolites currently on the market for odor control.
